| Law Officer | (1) Possess a Degree in Law (Special) or LLB (three years) or Degree in Law (integrated) of five years course obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. (2) Have at least three years of active and continuous experience as an advocate (experience certificate to be certified by the Registrar General in case of High Court practice, or by the Presiding Officer of the court/Tribunal in other cases); OR have at least three years of experience of legal matters in Government/Local Bodies/Government undertaking/Board/Corporation/University/Limited Companies established under the Companies Act, 2013. (3) Possess basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967. (4) Possess adequate knowledge of English and Gujarati or Hindi or both. |

| A genuine character certificate issued by a Class-1 officer must be submitted in original. The application received will be considered for candidate selection, and the decision of the Appointment Committee constituted for this purpose regarding appointment shall be final. All terms and conditions applicable to the 11-month contract-based provisions shall apply to this contract-based selection/appointment. The waiting list validity period shall be two years from the date of appointment of the selected candidate, as per the result published by the Commission. | |
